{"id":1313,"date":"2026-05-01T15:46:25","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T13:46:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bearcavemc.de\/?p=1313"},"modified":"2026-05-02T18:26:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-02T16:26:58","slug":"martin-karlicek","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/karlicekduo.com\/?p=1313","title":{"rendered":"Martin Karlicek"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Martin Karl\u00ed\u010dek<\/strong> is an internationally active pianist, teacher, and lecturer, performing across Europe, North America, and Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His repertoire spans solo and chamber music, with a particular focus on works by Smetana, Martin\u016f, Jan\u00e1\u010dek, Bart\u00f3k, Liszt, and Prokofiev, alongside contemporary music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His recordings include a broad range of repertoire, among them the complete piano works of Andrew Yin Svoboda. His interpretation of Jan\u00e1\u010dek\u2019s piano music has been noted by critics, and further recordings have received recognition in international music publications. Chamber music forms a central part of his work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is the founder of Duo Ventapane and Trio Valdstyn, and co-founder of the Westmount Chamber Music Workshop as well as the concert series Karl\u00ed\u010dek Sequenza. Karl\u00ed\u010dek studied at the Conservatory in Plze\u0148, the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, the Utrecht Conservatory, and McGill University.
